Coach's Tips

You can maintain the tension on your muscles by using cables. If cable workouts are unavailable, you can replace them with any Fly-type workout!

How to

Starting Position

1. Stand in the middle of the cable crossover machine and position yourself so the cable pulleys are at chest level. 2. Grab the cable handles with an overhand grip, palms facing each other.

Proper Form

1. With your arms extended, pull your arms inwards and across your chest, squeezing your shoulder blades together. 2. Return to the starting position and repeat.

Breathing Technique

1. Before you begin the exercise, take a deep breath in. 2. As you perform the exercise, exhale as you move your arms inwards and across your chest.

Precautions

1. Make sure to keep your back straight throughout the exercise. 2. Do not move your upper body too much to avoid straining your back. 3. Make sure to keep your arms straight throughout the exercise.
