How to Smith Machine Kneeling Squat
Starting Position
1. Stand in the middle of the Smith machine, with the bar at shoulder height.
2. Position your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your toes pointing slightly outward.
3. Place your hands on the barbell, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your palms facing inward.
Proper Form
1. Keeping your torso straight and your eyes facing forward, slowly lower your body by bending your knees.
2. Lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the floor.
3. Push your feet into the floor to straighten your legs and return to the starting position.
4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Breathing Technique
1. Inhale as you lower your body.
2. Exhale as you push your feet into the floor to return to the starting position.
Precautions
1. Keep your torso straight and your eyes facing forward throughout the exercise.
2. Do not allow your knees to travel beyond your toes.
3. Do not lock your knees at the top of the movement.
4. Do not bounce at the bottom of the movement.
