It is a workout to build biceps using cables while sitting on a preacher bench. You can focus on targeting your biceps because you lift the weight only with the strength of the biceps!
How to Cable Preacher Curl
Starting Position
1. Make sure the weight is not too heavy for you.
2. Make sure you are using a full range of motion.
3. Make sure your shoulders remain back and your chest is up throughout the exercise.
4. Avoid jerking the weight and use a slow and controlled movement.
Proper Form
1. Keeping your upper arms still, exhale and curl the weight up towards your shoulders.
2. Squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement and hold for a second before slowly lowering the weight back down to the starting position.
Breathing Technique
1. Inhale as you lower the weight and exhale as you curl the weight up.
2. Try to keep your breathing even and controlled throughout the exercise.
Precautions
1. Sit on the preacher curl bench and place your upper arms onto the pad.
2. Grasp the cable bar attachment with an underhand grip and make sure your arms are fully extended. Your palms should be facing up.
3. Make sure your shoulders are back, your chest is up and your back is pressed against the pad.
