How to

Starting Position

1. Make sure to keep your back straight and your chest up throughout the exercise. 2. Do not let your right knee move past your toes as you lower your body. 3. Avoid arching your back as you return to the starting position.

Proper Form

1. Bend both knees and lower your body towards the ground, keeping your back straight and your chest up. 2. Slide your right foot back and to the side, while your left knee moves towards the ground. 3. Keep your weight back in your right heel and your left knee over your ankle. 4. Push off your right foot to return to the starting position. 5. Repeat on the other side.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale as you lower your body towards the ground. 2. Exhale as you push off your right foot to return to the starting position.

Precautions

1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart. 2. Place a towel on the ground in front of you, lengthwise. 3. Place your right foot on the towel, slightly behind your left foot.
