How to

Starting Position

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell with an overhand grip. 2. Place your shoulders under the barbell and rest it on your traps. 3. Position your toes and knees slightly outward.

Proper Form

1. Lift your heels off the floor by extending your ankles as high as possible. 2. Hold for one second at the top before slowly lowering your heels back to the starting position. 3. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Breathing Technique

1. Exhale as you lift your heels off the floor. 2. Inhale as you lower your heels back to the starting position.

Precautions

1. Make sure to maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise. 2. Do not use momentum to lift the barbell. 3. Keep your knees slightly bent throughout the exercise to avoid putting too much strain on your joints.
