How to Bodyweight Full Squat with Overhead Press

Starting Position

1. Make sure to keep your back in a neutral position throughout the exercise and your core engaged.

2. Keep your knees in line with your toes.

3. Do not let your knees go past your toes.

4. Do not lock your elbows at the top of the press.

Proper Form

1. Bend your knees and hips to lower into a deep squat, keeping your chest lifted and your arms extended overhead.

2. Press through your feet to stand back up to the starting position, pushing the weights up over your head as you do so.

Breathing Technique

1. As you lower into the squat, inhale deeply.

2. As you press back up, exhale.

Precautions

1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your arms extended overhead, palms facing forward.

2. Keep your core engaged and your chest lifted.
