쉬기만하는놈·Dumbbell Bicep Curl·2026-05-31

When doing bicep curls or hammer curls, I tend to hit my elbows against my sides while focusing on maximizing the contraction of my biceps. Is that okay? Is it more effective to keep my elbows close and lift a little less, or is it better to let my elbows drop and really squeeze to feel a tearing sensation in my biceps?

when you start your rep, it’s actually more beneficial to slightly bring your elbow out from your body, just barely. It helps with ROM and you won’t hit yourself. Just remember to return it to its position on your side at the bottom.
