It's better not to bend your waist. Bending your waist puts a burden on it and disperses the stimulation, reducing the activation of the back muscles! It's good to firmly engage your core and maintain your spine in a neutral position. Instead, slightly open your chest and pull your elbows back while feeling your shoulder blades come together; this will enhance the stimulation!
