I assume the weight is without the 20kg bar?

50kg... The bar's weight won't be truly 20kg, since you're only lifting one end of it.

Just to be sure, if intstructions say 50kg ( and the bar is 20kg,) should I add 30kg weights in to the bar or 50kg?
