Beginners who do not know how to use their shoulder muscles should reduce the range of motion to find the feeling of the muscles. 1. Practice 15 reps up to eye level (minimize triceps involvement). 2. Practice 15 reps lowering from above to in front of the eyes while in a relaxed state (engage up to right next to the collarbone). 3.
