First time doing them like this. 30lbs. 50 reps. 4 sets. I can feel it burning. Y’all think this works or no.???

50 reps is extremely high unless you’re training for muscular endurance. I would recommend lower reps (around 6-15) with a higher weight if you’re aiming for hypertrophy.
