How to

Starting Position

1. Make sure your wrists remain below your shoulders throughout the exercise. 2. Do not allow your lower back to dip or arch excessively during the Cat Cow Stretch. 3. Avoid forcing the movement, and only go as far as you can comfortably.

Proper Form

1. Inhale and arch your spine, allowing your belly to drop towards the ground. 2. Exhale and round your spine, tucking your chin and tailbone towards each other. 3. Repeat this movement for 10-20 repetitions.

Breathing Technique

1. Inhale as you arch your spine and exhale as you round your spine. 2. Keep your breath steady and smooth throughout the entire exercise.

Precautions

1. Start on your hands and knees with your palms flat on the ground and your wrists below your shoulders. 2. Make sure your knees are hip-width apart and your back is flat.
