How to Cobra Stretch

Starting Position

1. Keep your neck and head in line with your spine and avoid straining your neck.

2. Do not hold your breath and maintain a steady, controlled breathing pattern.

3. Keep your legs and arms in a straight line and avoid lifting your arms or legs off the ground.

Proper Form

1. Inhale and lift your chest off the ground, arching your back.

2. Lift your chin up towards the sky and tilt your head back slightly.

3. Hold this position for a few seconds.

4. Exhale and slowly return to the starting position.

Breathing Technique

1. When you lift your chest off the ground, inhale deeply.

2. When you return to the starting position, exhale slowly.

Precautions

1. Begin by lying down on your stomach with your arms outstretched in front of you.

2. Place the palms of your hands flat on the ground.

3. Line your feet up with your hips and have your toes pointing straight back.
