How to Sit down and Stand up

Starting Position

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and bring your arms together in front of your chest.

Proper Form

1. Push your hips back and slowly bend your knees into a squat.

2. Lower yourself until your thighs are parallel to the floor.

3. Keep your knees behind your toes and look straight ahead.

4. Press through your heels and return to the starting position.

Breathing Technique

Inhale as you lower, exhale as you rise

Precautions

Keep your back straight. Don’t let your knees cave in. Keep your heels on the floor.
