Where should I focus when my arms are more prominent than my legs?

It seems like it's done while lying at an angle of almost 45 degrees.
Every time I finish one set of this, I just flap my arms as much as I can, like I'm flapping my wings, and it really puts a lot of strain on my shoulders. Will this help?
I think it's because I put pressure on my ankle when I pull, but my ankle hurts so muchㅠㅠ
